Bio:
Originally from New Hampshire, Gene has resided in Southwest Florida for the past 16 years. He has been with Worthington Communities since 1995, as Director of Tennis at Lexington and Vanderbilt Country Clubs. Gene graduated from the University of New Hampshire and is certified through the United States Professional Tennis Association (Professional 1) and the Professional Tennis Registry. Throughout his career, he has enjoyed teaching all levels of play, from youth to senior. In 2000 and 2001, he had the unique opportunity to host the Nuveen Masters tennis tournament at Vanderbilt Country Club and work with such great as Jimmy Connors, Pat Cash, John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg. He has been a guest speaker at international conferences on tennis in Venice, Italy, and Australia. Not limiting his athletic pursuits to tennis, Gene also enjoys the game of golf. He says that "tennis is a love and golf is a passion."
